Funcom‘s new open-world sandbox MMORPG, Conan Exiles, has launched into its Early Access phase. You can also check out a new launch trailer for the game to commemorate the early access launch in the player below. The game is now available in Early Access for Windows PC.
Players now will have the ability to try and survive, build and dominate their way through the world of Conan the Barbarian. They can build homes and even a sprawling city. Then they can go out and conquer the lands of their enemies through combat or by possessing the avatar of your god and using it to smite the enemies with righteous fury.
Players can buy the game now on Steam for $29.99. There’s also a special edition that’s available for $59.99 that offers some exclusive digital items and a physical t-shirt celebrating the life and legacy of Conan’s creator, Robert E. Howard. The game can be purchased via Steam or conanexiles.com, and it’s available in 11 different languages, including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.
Speaking on the release, Funcom CEO Rui Casais stated: “After over twenty-four years in the business and over thirty titles released, we are excited to be launching our very first Early Access game. We are incredibly proud of what the game has to offer from day one, but development on an Early Access game is an ongoing process and we look forward to be working side by side with the community making sure we introduce the content, features, and improvements that realizes the full potential of Conan Exiles. This is the start of a true adventure!”
The game will be released for the Xbox One through the Game Preview Program in Spring 2017. Funcom has also confirmed a release for PlayStation 4 later on. At least it will receive a PlayStation 4 release, but that release date will only come later.
