Activision Comments On Possibility Of Cross-Play For Overwatch and Other Titles
Could Overwatch get Cross-Play? What about Destiny 2?
The topic of Cross-Play has been on the minds of both gamers and developer alike in recent weeks because of Sony and their rigidity on the subject. But others have been asking other developers about Cross-Play, like Activision. For they have the power to bring Cross-Play to titles like Overwatch, Destiny 2, Call of Duty, and more. Will they though?
“We’ve had a great experience with cross-play for Hearthstone on other platforms and have witnessed how compelling it can be for our community,” a spokesperson said to IGN.
“There’s still a lot of work to do on both our side and the platform side to understand whether cross-play might be integrated into our other games, so we’ll be watching the upcoming test and will assess what the potential impact of this feature would be for our players and our games.”
So it’s not a yes just yet, but it’s possible.
