I'm surprised, they apparently did speak partly on used games/online requirements after the presentation. It might require games to be installed on the hdd and they would be tied to your account, I don't think this has been confirmed. Also, they said it would require an online connection, but not be always-online, whatever that means. Based on what they've said I'm not looking forward to or buying into this device and Sony hasn't proven the PS4 will be any better. I don't like playing games on PC personally, but that may be the way to go.
You have to pay a fee to play used games no deal for me. PS4 has confirmed the system won't block used games. I don't know a great deal about PC gaming but from what I understand there's a trade off one you can't play used games but games are much cheaper.

People said that he has valid points most of the time, so here is the link. Haven't finished watching myself yet though.
Here's another: http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-does-require-internet-connection-cant-play-o-509164109 I think they've made some really bad decisions with this thing and I hope consumers are smart enough to not buy into these business practices.
Speaking as a PS3 player, I was happy when the Xbox first came out on to the market. Why? Competition! It's a good thing. At the time, PS2 had its issues but got a little better over time. With competition, You can "could" learn from your mistakes and so can others. Now fast forward too today. Their both making the same mistakes and not learning. The Gaming Industry is not looking good for the future. Come June 20th, or after... If PlayStation does choose to end the Used Game Industry, or But a hurt locker on it. Its done! Int'll someone comes out with something better. Sure, PC is better. But, That is what a Game System is for!! A dedicated system for Game Play. Turn it on and GO! I just can't believe their doing this!:shocked: Why don't they just put, Windows 8 on it & Call it a Day!
Hey guys! Guess what! You can play Blu-Ray films...OFFLINE! I mean, that's the deal breaker right there isn't it.
I can't be arsed to read through this thread, nor can I be bothered to give a thorough analysis of the new Xbox from my point of view. So here is my opinion on Xbox "One": Spoiler It's a fucking joke.
What? So i can play used games only if i pay full price? But that totaly makes sense...not. One will fail it seems.
90% of these "advanced" and "futuristic" features will be obsolete in my homeland. No matter, I watch TV like... 30 minutes a week or something...
A good friend brought up a great question today. "Besides the Used Gaming Industry, Gamestop..etc." If you can't use Used Games with out paying a one time fee to reactivate the game on your Xbox ONE, That must be online that you must pay a fee for being online "Xbox live" besides your ISP cost. What the Heck are you going to do with your...GameFly, RedBox account??? That you already pay a monthly fee for???? :derp:
MS defended with "Not all things are final." Probably having second thoughts, probably E3. BTW, where are the games? I don't want to see another silly CoD and Halo. It's embarrassing if this is the limit of their imagination.
I haven't looked in to it but I have heard a few things, such as the pay for used games thing that have made me turn my nose up at it straight away. There's that and any new console will never be as good as a PC, I realised that a long while ago, it's just getting the money for a good PC. In the long run though a PC works out cheaper than a console too. Cheaper games, you can upgrade which will work out cheaper than buying a whole new console, a lot of DLC is free on PC which you have to pay for on xbox *cough*Ranger mode*cough*. You also get the benefit if having everything you get with a PC like internet explorer, amazing deals on Steam, etc. Don't bother bringing up the console versions of internet explorer because they're shit, stfu. and much more reasons like a better and wider selection of games, no real limitations to what games you can play like on BF3 for xbox 360 only 24 people in a game compared to something like 64 on PC, Better graphics... The list is endless. Consoles are a waste of money. The only thing I prefer about them is that you have a controller but you can get them for PC and a keyboard and mouse would be better once I got used to it. That's why i'm not buying the Xbox One. I'm even considering waiting until I get a PC before I buy Metro: LL because it'd be so much better.
Or if the game want's a Xbox 360 controller only, and you don't have one, you can always use software mods to make the game think your PO USB controller is stellar and genuine Xbox 360 controller.
i know this is the xbox thread but to stick it up micronerf would you guys recommend alienware computers?
