You've got to be kidding me! Fucking the franchise is ruined now. Dead Island was the biggest pile of crap I ever played. Sorry for my language, but there is nothing on that list which gives me hope as STALKER has moved to another studio iirc.

Look on the bright side: 4A Games remain independent. However, it is a shame that the publishing rights to Metro have been sold. Last Light should have been released and then the franchise died with THQ. Now it will be repeatedly picked up and dropped, with new instalments coming out and butchering the Metro universe. Well, I hope not, but yeah...

As long as 4a games remain independent, that shouldnt happen

Why not? 4A Games do not own any of the rights to Metro. If Koch Media wanted to, they could even assign a new developer to Last Light now (of course they won't because that would be strategically retarded, so it's just an example).

right then I better join their forums

    http://forum.deepsilver.com/forum/forum.php

and tell them don't fuck up the game and to find out what exactly is happening with Metro last light, it's release date, the studio and if Koch media have taken on THQ employees. Lastly, if they are planning to scrap the awful Pre-order incentives.

Ok let's all officially tell them to keep to Last Light and show them how strong this fan base is!
Maybe write to their twitter, too?

Y'know, I didn't expect this but, I'm fairly optimistic. Deep Silver is a good choice, if you ask me. Why? Because they don't infest their releases with all possible types of DRM.
    EDIT:
Funny you should say that, I was told the exact opposite on Eurogamer today.

How depressing, now the Wiki can't boast its "Official" status. Damn.

Anyways, at this point I just want Last Light to release. The publisher can't fuck it up too much, and to be honest I really don't want a third Metro game unless they conclude Artyom's story arc and go with something else.

Will we be seeing anymore trailers and what not?

There was a place holder for "Dev Diaries" if you can remember when we found the concept drawings. I guess that will never see the light of day now. :(

Eh the sell most likely included that sort of stuff, I'd think.

Well me and my friends enjoy Dead Island and I love all the STALKER games. But when you look at it Kock Media really only does apocalyptic games. Plus they won't touch Last Light anyway. Last Light wasn't a title on sale that you can pick up and finish. Who ever bought Last Light wasn't going to invest a ton of money into it since the game is so close to finishing. It's really just a game of slots and hoping you hit the jackpot. I was surprised when Koch won though since I thought other big publishers would be fighting over that. I just hope that another Dawn of War game comes out.

I am hopeful of what Koch will do with 4A Games and Last Light. Truly sad to see Beynon go, however, as it seemed he was very into the production of Last Light.

It is sad to see them go since they were involved in communicating the game. I also feel sorry for the guys at Vigil Games, But there are plenty of studios hiring:

    EPIC Games
    Sledge Hammer
    CDProjekt
    Respawn Entertainment

    Just to name a few.

Goodbye THQ; Joe and Huw. :(

I feel that THQ should get the right to publish Last Light. It just won't feel right with it having Koch Media printed on the box. Also I feel really bad for Virgil not being bought. I know they kinda don't wanna get bought but when you think about it it's like saying no publisher wants Virgil.
