Now, that this game is shutting down soon, I can't help but feel that we're supposed to do a thorough analysis on what went wrong. So, what was it? Was it the premium content they offered? Did they not bring enough innovation to the table? Did they simply not advertise enough? What's your opinion?
It's a very saturated market at the moment. In a market were your competition is DOTA, LOL, I'm surprised they even made it past a year. But the downfall comes from the lack of support they were giving the game mixed with a barely existent community and there simply weren't any good reasons to stick for the long run.
The playerbase was really little and the game didn't get advertised enough. They simply just released it then forgot about it, which was detrimental to the game in the long run.
It is not a good sign. Can you believe it? Does anyone actually believe this? It seems that Infinite Crisis has just had an infinite crisis of its own. This is too funny....
It would be an interesting and lonely road if you started to question what went wrong with all of the games that I had some big hopes for and then they never panned out. That is a long list now that I think about it.
I think the lack of enough promo was what partly contributed to the demiseof 'Infinite Crisis'. The other factor, was the leadership at Turbine. They completely screwed up everything. They kept on disagreeing when it came to maps and what direction the game should take. Eventually, they lost their fanbase.
"Then they ought hire people that are good at it" Either they didn't think of doing that or they've just given up on the game overall.
