when i first saw the surface had to be the best it looked so real and gave me nostalgia of my stalker days
I particularly enjoyed sneaking through the warzone between the nazi's and the reds. Pulling it off was really satisfying. Plus the intensity of the battle between the two factions added to the moment.
Gotta give the best moment to sneaking through the Frontlines as well. With the bugged stealth system it was difficult, but seeing that "Invisible Man" achievement announcement pop up for the first time was so satisfying because of it. I really liked the difficulty of stealth in 2033, I hope they don't make it too easy in Last Light.
I like the part where you needed to restore power to the control centre and where you came accross some weird alien boss which you needed to destroy with the crane. It made the game interesting and objective based. That scene reminded me of Gears of War and the Unreal Engine. Bloody fantstic. I hope there are more scenes like that in Last light otherwise the game will end up as a amo treasure hunt like in 2033.
The commisar singing the Internationale. My duel with the librarians. Khan's tunnel. The Library.... Hell, every single part of the game was epic. Except for the exploding blobs and the fact that Miller can't outrun them.
Enjoyed the encounters with the anomaly and walking with Khan. Exploding blobs were easily my least favourite!
When I climbed to the top of the Tower watching the view over Moscow was simply the most awesome moment in gaming the last few years.
Heck, walking around in D6 was my absolute favorite! .... even though it took forever to get past those exploding blobs.....
I liked listening to all the people in the stations talk. I remember some of the conversations from the book, like the one about the tank in the wilderness, and the submarines.
Yes, meeting the librarians, and the final rush to the tower. Also, gettign seperated from Bourbon first time on the surface. I was like 'No, please, don't abandon me!" A game is truly scary when you don't want to be alone.
The parts where you are alone are the scariest parts. I think when I was with Pavel in the Cart, I was thinking "finally, a companion." And even he was killed.
I personally loved the part after being taken to Sparta base. Heading for D6 with Miller, Ulman, Vladimir, Boris and Stepan, doing some tactical assault team movement. That was epic Until Boris died Then Stepan
