I played it on my brother's PC, and finished it there. I don't know much of it's specs, but I'm pretty sure it can play Metro on lowest resolution while still being fast... lol

I play it on my Xbox 360. I love post-apocalypse fiction of any kind, so when I saw a trailer for it online, I squealed like a girl and bought a copy. I have not regretted it since. :D

I play it on PC, 'cause I can crank it up and don't get sick, like it happens on XBOX.

    my specs:

    Packard Bell IPOWER X3.0
    Windows7 64bit Home Premium
    i7 intel core processor 860
    ATI Radeon HD 5570 1024MB
1TB Hard Drive (getting an external 500GB hard drive for backups and to delete partition in my hd)
6GB DDR3 memory (planing to upgrade to 8 or 10GB)

Those are pretty good specs. Also PC versions will always be much better imo, and not just for the visual aspect.

What Do You Play Metro 2033 On Reply

I've always been an Xbox guy but if I had the money I'd totally buy a jacked out PC and play my games on that with a 360 controller. Hopefully I can get a PC before Metro: Last Light releases.

    4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9
    AMD FX-6100
    ASRock 970 Extreme3
    IN WIN BUC
    Sapphire HD 7870 2GB
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB
    Xilence Power 800 Watt

Despite what people say, I have had no problems with the fx-6100, but I don't run
heavy programs like Vegas Pro or Photoshop either. Just games :D

Those are decent specs, I am about to grab a ASRock motherboard too, the Z77 Extreme4. Any problems with ASRock?

I'm on xbox, but I've been patiently waiting for the right parts to come out for just over two years before I build my monster rig/laptop.

  16. It's fairly good. I can run all new games on highest settings in 1680x1050. But honestly, I picked the one that was in the best ballance of price/quality at the time.

I'm not sure if I'll buy a second 580 for SLI or buy a newer model once it's time to upgrade though. I have a 1 kW power supply, so neither should be a problem.

If you're planning to upgrade from the 580 then I would pick up the 680, not SLI. Reason being is because SLI rigs are loud as heck imo. Having two video card fans running can get loud. Just having my one card right now is loud enough :p

Played this game with a wide range of specs.

    The most recent ones are:
    AMD 955 BE @ 3.2Ghz
    MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC x2
    8Gb DDR3 1600Mhz

The game is pretty much dragged down in 30% of the scenes because of my awesome processor.

Xbox! :D on my HD tv it looks surprisingly amazing. But I DO want a PC. So this is the perfect thread for opinions on good builds, etc. If anyone has recommendations, by all means, let me know haha

I would recommend a Sapphire 7870, since it's very stabile for me and I haven't experienced any problems with it. It pretty much performs like a GTX 580, just cheaper, newer and overclocks like a beast. And though the AMD FX-cpus aren't as bad as people say, I still wouldn't recommend it if you have the money for an Intel-cpu.
