I've been planning to buy this game for quite a while now, I'm currently still saving up. I've read so much articles and forum threads about the game, but I can't find much of a downside to it when reading them so it got me thinking that this must be too good to be true. What are the downsides to playing ESO? Is the social aspect of the game lacking? Is the gameplay terrible? Is it pay to win? Is buying the game with all the DLCs worth it or I'll have to spend a couple of dollars more during gameplay? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sometimes I feel like the story gets lost a little bit on me, and I guess that just might be more of a personal thing more than the game because I am not sure others really feel the same way. To each their own though and I am sure there are many flaws.

The problem I have with ESO is, the devs should have created such a vast world. There is too much to do that at some point it gets really tiring. Sometimes it feels likeit is not even worth it.

ESO has undergone many improvements graphically and in terms of expansion of the world but having said that, the game is now just one big pay to win mess. The content isn't really groundbreaking and should have been apart of the original release instead of taking years to introduce areas such as Summerset Isles which has been a monumental place in many Elder Scrolls games and the Elder Scroll lore. To me, the game feels like it is in maintenance mode and is just trying to squeeze every last dime out of the few loyal ESO players.

In my opinion the story gets a bit too long winded for my taste, but it's tolerable.

This is exactly what I was saying on my previous post. The ESO world is too big for one game.

It would be better if they divided it into several releases.

It has grown very stale over the last year.

They should give us a patch after a few months every now and then. But then again there are some people who love these kind of games.

My biggest problem with ESO is related to story. Honestly, it seems that everything goes a very confusing course and makes everything extremely uninteresting at times.

It bothered me so much to the point I stop playing ESO for a while... But after I wanted to finish it and went back to playing it. ;)

I found out starting from the original zones is best way to experience the game.

I dislike the fact that ESO has only zoned PvP. I like open world PvP with the ability to PK and loot someone.

To be honest, I didn't have a that much problem with PVP. Cyrodiil was kind of decent compared to some of the MMO's I've played.

Some MMO's are really either very good or very bad, I think this one is just fine.

ESO had to compete with Gothic at early points, and I think Gothic had the upper hand.
