End of expansion is probably a more appropriate description when it comes to WoW. Each expansion has an end boss for raiders and a final season for PvP that awards ranks/titles, etc. End game refers to the max level play at the end of each expac, when you can't level any more and you are at your strongest and have the best gear. As noted, leveling is to learn the game, the world, the class and spec of your toon, and to keep you playing WoW. You never really "beat" the game. As soon as you think you have, there is a new expansion.
Yeah it is more of the type where you jsut keep exploring for new situations, and never really come to a complete end, like some other games. I like it that way though, and would not change it.
I think World of Warcraft will have to change this aspect at some point in the near future. What is max level now, 110? That is a bit intimidating for new players, having to level that many times to reach "end game" fun stuff. I think they need to find another way to increase your character's power, besides levels at some point. A lot of people (at least the ones that World of Warcraft caters to now), don't really embrace the MMORPG experience. They want to get to the "end" as quickly as possible, instead of enjoying the journey.

I'm not sure what you mean. It's not really designed with an end, as in "finishing" the game. That was never the plan, since they always talked about making even more expansions. My guess is that they will continue with the leveling process for a while. I just think there could be a better way. They seem to like the current formula, and I get that. It's what WoW players are used to, and it's a formula that's worked for a long time. I just think as those max level numbers climb, people might want something else. Maybe they will keep it going though, since people can buy boosts now. Those who don't like to level can just pay for a leveled toon. Ugh.
Now that's a good question. My brother keep playing this game every single day. I'm not really into it.
I don't like this design in WoW. I feel so burned out by the time I'm close to max level that I almost don't want to play any more. I think there should be a better balance between the XP needed for early levels and later levels. The early ones whiz by, the last ones take forever. A common sentiment is that the game really begins at end game. Most people level as fast as they can in WoW, so that they can start enjoying the max level content. Dungeons, raids, competitive PvP, are all so much more fun than fetch 10, kill 10, quests.

I think if you are being specific about multiplayer then there does not seem to be end game. The campaigns on the other hand are goal specific. And that may reflect in the game play.
If you would have asked me this a few years back I might have said to take over the world. It seems that there was a point in time when everyone was playing, but that is how these things go I suppose.
Nobody knows what the end-game of World of Warcraft is. Blizzard is just milking the game for what it is right now as the content updates over the last 7 years have been pretty lackluster to be honest. They keep releasing the same content under a different package now.
