I think thаt nо mаttеr whаt rасе yоu сhооsе, yоu саn trаin yоur сhаrасtеr ассоrding tо yоu plаying stylе. But thеrе аrе сеrtаin аdvаntаgеs in plаying spесifiс stylеs with sоmе rасеs. My fаvоritе rасе is khаjiit, аs I usе lighting mоds, whiсh rеduсе visibility in саvеs аnd khаjiit саn sее thrоugh dаrk using thеir spесiаl pоwеr, night еyе. аnd аlsо, my plаying stylе is аrсhеr/thiеf, аt whiсh khаjiit еxсеl.
Nоrds! а gооd оptiоn if yоur stylе is sоmеwhаt hоlding yоur grоund аnd fighting with аxеs, mасеs аnd twо hаndеd wеаpоns. If соmbinеd with thе wаrriоr stоnе (20% lеаrning in hеаvy соmbаt dеpаrtmеnt) yоu саn usе this rасе if yоu lоvе putting up а strаight up fight аnd blосking аttасks frоm еnеmiеs. Thеy аlsо hаvе 50% frоst rеsistаnсе whiсh is sоmеtimеs usеful in sоmе drаgоn fights аnd dungеоn еxplоrаtiоn. Thеir spесiаl аbility is bаttlесry (lоw lеvеl еnеmiеs flее fоr 30 sес), whiсh frаnkly is shit.

Nords are fun and for the sake of sheer strength and brute I would have to go with that, but of course there are times when I get bored and need something else.
Same! Nords are more favorite too, and perhaps of the majority. I did try a few other races long ago but I mostly only play nords.
Nords are kind of the most appropriate since the game takes place in their homeland, but you can choose whichever race you want to. Racial powers/abilities have been nerfed greatly since Oblivion so it doesn't much matter which race you pick.
I've always played Skyrim as a Nord. I can't seem to finish a playthrough with any other race. I just can't take the game seriously. I don't care much about their innate abilities since they don't really give that much of an advantage.
Sorry, I didn't mean the difficulty. I just don't like how the other races look. I feel the story fits the Nord race best as the main character's race. The game is not that hard regardless of what race you choose to play.
Even though I prefer appearance over stats/skills, in some competitive games, I have to prioritize my equipment's stats and sacrifice the appearance. I won't enjoy playing if I'm always losing because of some equipment's nice appearance and crap stats. Since Skyrim is a single-player game, I can choose how I screw those AI mobs however I want.
I always played as a Breton because most of my characters have magic-based abilities. That being said, I created my own personal race with the creation kit and I gave him abilities such as increasing resistances depending on the number of dragon souls absorbed, Increasing physical and magical damage based on the number of dragon souls absorbed(If you haven't figured it out by now my main character is absurdly underpowered in the beginning but overpowered in the end-game. I plan to release my mod at some point in the future.
Yeah I always find myself playing as Nords even though I try to mix it up. Just seems like the default and the one that I just stuck with for the longest.
'Skyrim belongs to the Nords!" - I had to get that off my chest. I also love the modded Ningheim race as they have a lot of unique powers such as short distance teleportation and summoning a Lich which can zombify other dead characters.
Yes, everyone knows the Dragonborn is supposed to be a Nord but that is so boring. I prefer to play as a custom race because I like to spice up my Skyrim experience.
