They should make artyom talk

    The narrative is supposed to be an older and more mature Artyom recounting his epic tale. Technically, the Russian dub is more "accurate", and I prefer it for immersion.

    A few others posted this, but they're pretty far down. The only time I see him actually talk is in the "Depot" level, where the railcar flips. During the cutscene, the car is flying towards him and he pretty clearly grunts "Fuck!"

    Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing it in Russian but I just prefer the accent when he speaks in English.

    True, in the book, Artyom appearance is barely mentioned and you build your own character of him

    To me Artyom is you. You get a little bit of his face at the end when you see half his face but that is enough for me. Just by doing the actions you choose you have Artyom talk.

    I liked how he always kept silent. It was as if he was always contemplation everything going on around him.
