So... how can i tell this... uhm... the ending of metro, the 2 endings, are just ridicolous! don't get me wrong, i really like them, but i want you remember that Artyom always lived under the metro and he can't see the lights of Polis, and also the light of the sun because they're too much intensive! so... why at the end, when the sun is rising, he just sat up the tower and was looking at it?!?!
You have to remember it is still just a game that has translated a book in to a computer game. So there are difference in the game just because they couldn't imply all the things from the book in to the game. And with the sun, well in the game Artyom has fought in broad daylight every time he has ventured up to the surfface. So it isn't just the ending that he's looking at the sun. And I think the resons for that is probably because of some gameplay resons.
Yea, if the game was like the book, we should be spending a week shoveling, Shit But yea, its just an Epic, Hollywood moment kinda thing, Saying in the book, they dont even have one of those laser thingys, just Coordainants
uhm, probably :spy: .... i know it's not easy to make a game based on a book and make him faithful to the original story, indeed metro 2033 book will be always better than avery games (or future films op2, but 4a games worked better than others development houses *cough*CoD*cough*
Totally agree. First time I finished the game (bad ending of course ) I felt a bit hollow and regretful for destroying the dark ones and wondering If this was right. It was hard to feel that you actually beaten the game and won, saving your homestation.
yeah, but how can dark ones reach out the mind of people without hurt them? how can Artyom prevent at humans to continue the attacks, because they just need to understand Dark ones? the good ending is the best, but (sadly) the "ranger" ending is more realist...
I agree with the ranger end more realistic(we humies are some sad creatures don't you think?), we know Artyom is more "sensitive" to anomalis and the whole telepatic shibang, so this probably makes him if not invulnerable, atleast qutie resistant to their influence. Getting people to accept the Dark ones would probably be a tougher nut to crack but mnot impossible, If I don't recall wrong there are some stations where the dark ones live with humies from the book(I'm probably wrong here, but yeah) It will probably be much like when apartheid was disbanded I guess.
I've just taken a look in the book and you where right. On the fith day Artyom mangage to escape by his own repugnant after he fell in the shit he was shuffeling. But the sentece was for a year so I wasn't that off
I never got round to finishing it, I left off somewhere after artyom and the rangers were escaping the great worm worshipers but I lost my place. I think I'm just gonna start again.
I'm pretty sure they were conventional. I don't recall "nuclear" even being said, but honestly I can't remember
D6 control center screens show a Smerch RZSO vehicle. It uses several types of 300mm missiles, but none of them carry nuclear warheads. The ones used in the game are probably thermobaric. Russians have a hard-on for these.
