    he should die like everyone is saying a heroic way. maybe, this would be kinda cool he saves his son, and his son was writing the story.

    I also think there should be bultiple endings because you can't make everbody happy with single ending and to get the good ending you want or the bad you do what's necessary this is better.

    SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO WANNA READ METRO 2034!

    Artiyom does actually have kids in Metro 2034. Or maybe it was just a wife? Can't recall 100%.

    Besides the spoiler, I think he shouldnt die unless he finishes his story if it now is him that is writing. Kinda like Bilbo imo.
    Also, if he dies, it would just end a awesome series, a fitting end since no one can survive for too long in the tunnels.

    Thuner, the Artyom that appears in Metro 2034 is actually a completely different character to the protagonist of Metro 2033. They just have the same name. It has been confirmed multiple times through interviews with Glukhovsky. ;)

    I dunno, but since the "bad" ending is the one most people will get (like 2033) it will probably be canon. I can be wrong, though.
