i think that there should be quick time events. it makes the game a little harder, but since some people dont like them, why not add a option to get rid of them? it would make both sides happy.

I like them because it makes the gameplay more exciting. And without these kind of things all you do is fire, fire and fire it makes fighting with creatures rather interesting.

If done correctly quick time events can give an adrenaline rush so I think if they're done right they should stay, but there shouldn't be one every 5 minutes.

I rather not have QTE's for two reasons:

    1. It makes that moment unexciting due to the reason that the scene has been scripted and you don't have the option to handle it on your own; which for me it makes me fell dumb.
    2. There's no purpose of having them.

I always found that QTEs worked well with console games, but I often find them a bit awkward and sometimes irritating on the PC.

QTEs on pc are kind of annoying because i can never hit the damn key as fast as i could on a console

I see where you're coming from, when I'm watching a cutscene, I don't have my hands on the keyboard/mouse most of the time. I missed so many paragon options in ME2/3 as a result. :eek:hwell:

    Thanks for the heads up.

Ya! I can recall myself playing Resident Evil 5 and dying about 15 times on scenes involving QTEs. SPOILER coming up Aaron if you haven't finished Metro 2033.The QTE used in metro 2033, you know when Artyom climbs up the Ostankino Tower and encounters a frozen fragile ladder, did not need to be used; Instead, while ascending up the ladder, screaking noises and sudden downward movements of the ladder could have been used to warn the player that it is about to give way, causing the player to hurry on up and look down once they are sure of safety. Though I don't really mind that QTE, I perfer not to have them if there's a way around them.
