And be careful when you poke your head out from inside the tank. I know this old army veteran from the Korean War (he was drafted into the war), and he got his fingers crushed by the hatch of the tank he was a crew member of when he was going up top. All his fingers are still there, thankfully, but they are all crooked -though he still manages to play the guitar. They had to implant metal plating into his fingers to help straighten them out.
Say hello to Pte(R). Poitras! I'm officially a member of the Canadian armed forces! Although I still got about 3 weeks before I actually do anything...
Well... This is goodbye. I'll be gone from these forums for about two months on Pluto (Totaly still a planet) before I can post here again and I can truly say I'll miss this forums and you guys while I'm gone. But I will dolphin-etly be back... And when I do we can catch up on all the totally important and interesting things you boobs will have done by then. From Pluto with love, Aaron George Poitras
Have fun, stay safe, and be smart, Aaron ! I wish you luck and will be anticipating some crazy tank stories, from you, when you get back from the frozen moon rock.
Off to SQ (Soldier qualification) tomorrow. It will be a month long of learning weapons like the C6, C9, M72, Gustav launcher, grenades and other random shit. Should be fun. That's my updates boys !
No C4 unfortunately. Grenades are close enough though. Finished one week and man was it hell! We got shit on constantly by the staff for obviously unavoidable things. I mean driven into the ground wrecked. But we all made it through and now a new week is starting and more cock is coming down the pipe for us. Other than that all the weapons traing is cool. We learned the M72 rocket launcher already and are finishing up out C9 (M249 SAW) training tomorrow. Hopefully I will be issued one to carry for the rest of the course. Oh and another funny thing. Since some of us are Armoured troop and our warrant officer is Artillery, we are natural enemies. So since he out ranks us he gave us a 100lbs section of a Leopard 1 barrel which we have to carry everywhere with us at all times. lol. Pluto is such a weird planet. Emphasis on "planet!"
 It seems like your training is never going to end. May the spirits of the ancient hobos guide you the rest of the way . But I'm glad you're able to experience the many wonders of Pluto -it's an opportunity not everyone gets to answer the call to.
