It happened to me a few times to: try restarting the game. It works for me. I am using Window 8 with a new gamer laptop. I am starting to believe that there are so technical problems with the game itself. My screen has frozen a few times, I got a shaking stream when I start the game...

 

hi there, i had same problem, find directx_Jun2010_redist.exe in microsoft or watever , download and install it and game should work fine with sound after that
