I have not really tried Roblox as much as I thought that I would have, at least by now. I think that I am pretty set with choosing Minecraft as the better option here, but I guess you never really know until you try it.

You don't need to try it. I'm telling you right now, roblox is complete crap. Don't waste your time on it...

I don't even have to think twice to say that I prefer Minecraft. Roblox is super boring and uninteresting. Minecraft all the way for me. :D

Minecraft has a higher initial cost, but Roblox collects incremental fees that can add up. Minecraft costs $26.95 for PC and Mac, and thereafter it's free :D (though higher-level playing can cost you).
Roblox lets you play games and design a small number for free, but you need to subscribe to do the really fun stuff, such as customize your avatar, buy and trade weapons, and create additional games. You can buy Roblox's in-game currency, Robux, à la carte, but it's worth signing up for the entry-level membership ($5.95/per month for Builders Club), which eliminates ads, lets you manage more games, and buys you some daily Robux.

Roblox and minecraft I think is just the same. The have the same 3D game environment. But for me I much prefer Minecraft since it is the orginal and I don't like legos. Roblox is somewhat a combination of lego and minecraft.

Minecraft is just the best. sometimes, I just spend countless hours harvesting resources and forging tools. I have never tried Roblox before, so I don't know anything about the game.

I've never even heard of Roblox until now. And looking at the wiki - it's really big, with 64 million monthly active players. In any case, I'll pass on it. I barely even play Minecraft anymore.

My kids play both of them but i noticed that they are more in to Roblox, it may be because it has may options to choose from. Also playing Roblox seems to have a age bracket considered by the system during your signup. I think that is good that you play with players with the same age bracket because interaction is easy.

Minecraft offers free skins and Usernames can be altered at any time at will at no extra charge.

Roblox, though free at first, makes you spend to unlock most of its features such as custom skins/items, the ability to design games, etc. It is a recurring payment too, instead of a one-time one.

It feels like I've been living under a rock. Roblox has a pretty huge following and it looks like a great game. I'm considering getting it.

Roblox isn't even a game. It's a platform with games. So you can't say it's better or compare the two games, they're entirely different.

And Minecraft even have the aquatic update, Minecraft has a swimming animation now along with lots of new underwater features. So Minecraft for the win!

I haven't tried Roblox yet. Is it worth trying?
