Metro: Last Light Limited Edition features hardcore Ranger Mode

I hope with the changing publisher (if that happens), the new publisher decides to alter the limited edition content.

 

Aww, i was hoping that the LE would be a chance for us non-americans to get that gas mask

 

I truly hope this insulting edition gets shitcanned with Deep Silver offering a full game instead, Ranger Mode included.

 

Well the only thing they can do is change things like that. I really just want a collectors edition with a special journal, art book, post cards things like that.

 

They are probably going to offer a decapitated and amputated version of a Demon. I don't see why it was such a big deal though.

 

If Deep Silver removes the AKS pre-order bonus I might literally cry.

 

I hope they put the AKS in every version, like it should be.

 

I hope the AKS is in the game by default like a normal gun. I don't want extra OP weapons in the game just because I pre-ordered it. I would rather get something like mutliplayer beta access, special xbox avatar stuff. Themes or something.

Because day one dlc is stupid and it punishes those who don't pre-order it. I would rather get a poster or multiplayer beta access. Maybe a metro style skinned weapon.

 

Exactly. If any pre-order bonuses have to be included, then they should reward the person who pre-orders without punishing anyone else. The best way to do this is by offering good quality collector's edition items outside of the game, like a special box, Hunter's dog tags, Artyom's watch or anything else. Could even be a replica of one of the guns made in the metro. Anything that is included in pre-order versions of the game that affects gameplay significantly or adds a lot of new content is just plain wrong.

Anyway, what got me excited is that under a new publisher who is doing much better financially, we might actually see a proper collector's edition. However, as much as I want for the English-speaking countries of the world to actually get a special edition this time, I still hope that they won't forget about regions where the original game and books were the most popular (Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Germany etc.).

 

I don't see how people are thinking pre-order bonuses are unfair. If I pre-order a game and pay more for it, I should be getting the better treatment. You don't complain about how people get to sit in the VIP lounges at a baseball stadium or the front at a concert because they paid more than you. Why do it with a video game? It's the exact same thing. They are selling an exclusive version of their product for a higher price. That's how the economy works, it's ruled by greed. Everyone is greedy, and don't say you aren't, because if you weren't greedy then you wouldn't give a damn that somebody has a better version of a product than you do. But the fact that you do give a damn means you want to have that content for a lower price. You want it for yourself. You are greedy. It's an infinite cycle. Welcome to industry.

 

No it's not that actually. It's how this is day one dlc not really anything else.

 

Dude. DLC is DLC. It does not matter when you get it. It is the exact damn thing. Only difference is you are not willing to buy the limited edition to get you. You are willing to buy it when it comes available later for a cheaper price. Greed. Cycle. Industry.
