Metro: Last Light Bugs, problems and glitches

I am getting stutterting every so often despite my fps being perfect even on max settings. Changing any setting does not fix this issue. The game is just unplayable atm with these REALLY annoying stutters.

 

AMD problems persists!

So I just bought Metro Last Light, and I read the AMD patch had released a day before, so I believe it is installed.
However, the game is making my AMD Radeon HD 7970M overheat and I go from a whopping 40FPS on highest settings to 9FPS in matter of 10 minutes.

Now, I've run Crysis 3 for hours on ultra with no problems, no overheating issue so the system is working perfectly but Metro Last Light is making my card overwork and overheat for some reasons.

The FPS even continues to drop until it hits 1FPS and crashes with no error messages.

 

Now the game has unlocked in the UK, I have resolution problems. Even though I'm at 1920X1080p it scales it lower and stretches it. Maybe it's an aspect ratio problem.

 

Ranger Mode did not unlock for me

Hi, I had pre-loaded the game for a whole week and finally was able to start it up half an hour ago and my Range Mode was locked!

I was under the impression all pre-orders would have this unlocked. I would like to know why this has happened?

 

Invisible Artyom

how did you purchase the game? was it from Steam or a CD Key etailer?

On Steam, but I did not buy directly from Steam. The key was given to me and it activated as the standard edition but I thought all standard editions pre-orders included ranger mode...

 

Invisible Artyom

The game was working great up until Venice and the scene with the dancing girl, Artyom's body became invisible, Predator style. This persisted through the costume change and entering the marsh, the three yellow lights of the watch are visible but everything else is invisible with a slight displacement effect. I've rebooted and tweaked every video setting I can think of, on an intel i7 with ATI 5800, any ideas?

If you pre-ordered the LE you should have got 3 codes

1. Metro LL Game
2. Pre-order bonus inc guns, military grade bullets and ranger hc
3. Digital comic book

If you got a single code then it was for the game alone.

I have no idea why this is happening as I also thought that all early copies would have granted pre-order incentives, but it seems Deep Silver snook out a standard version of the game also without all the pre-order bonuses.

 

video flickers tent of red

Howdy ya'll,

I get this strange red tented flickering on everything.

I searched the forums but couldn't come up with anything similar.

I was running the latest stable version of Nvidia's drivers so I installed the Metro beta driver 320. The effect is still there.

It changes it's pattern when I turn off vysnc. Anyone have any clues as to what might cause this?

I7-3960X stock
2xSLI GTX Titan stock
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
32gb ram @ 1600
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Have you got anything running in the background? What?
Have you tried to change the resolution/Graphics?
Does this happen on any other game or just Metro?

Last thing I could say is uninstall and reinstall, But I'm sure someone more informative round here will help you out with it.

Okay so it had nothing to do with metro. I re-seated the SLI bridge and that fixed it. I tried Dishonored and it did it to that one as well. It didn't do it in WoW so I just assumed it was Metro that was the problem.

Diary entries not collected - bug

Whenever I return to the main menu and I load a chapter/continue from a saved checkpoint, I lose all my diary entries that I collected..!
This happen even for new games. I spent the last 3 hours trying to pinpoint the problem but I wasn't able to fix this irritating bug.

 

PC High Vs Very High GLITCH

The game still looks good on HIGH which is where I have to play it. But has anyone noticed the glitch... When you play on VERY HIGH, the fume effects (that of steam from stoves, and generators, the tips of flame throwers, even the rain dribbling down the mask) they all look fine (on very high), but as soon as you set it on HIGH, or any other lower setting, they all become BLOCKY, like to the point where it's OBVIOUSLY not suppose to look that way at all.

That should be fixed, because it's VERY distracting. x.x

The best way to describe it, is that everything looks like jelly-smoke. lol.

No, I play on 360.

I'm no expert on graphics settings but I do play a good number of PC games from time to time. Not entirely sure what Tessellation does, but from what I've read about how it improves smoothness of models, sounds like it's worth a shot. Try a different DX version, you never know sometimes.
