My favourites are Metro 2033 (of course) and Toward the light (I don't know exactly how it says in english this novel, but in spanish it's "Hacia la luz". The translation is "Toward the light", sorry :p )

I'm waiting for more novels of "Universe Metro 2033" :)

Metro 2033 is the best, but Piter, Towards the Light and Roots of the Sky are not bad either.

I think that Roots of the Sky will be next in spanish. Is it better Roots of the Sky than Piter?

I have only read Metro 2033 and 2034. I have not had the luxury of reading the others yet since I can only read English.

I've read all of the ones in the poll and I will soon start reading "Into the Darkness" (a continuation of "Towards the Light"), since I've picked up a Polish copy during my holiday here in Poland. Out of the ones I've read so far, I have to say that Piter is my favourite - Thestalker remembers well. :)

In my opinion, Piter is written in a way that makes it easier for the reader to relate with the narrator/author/protagonist. It also has plenty of different characters and gives us a lot of time to get attached to them, since it's a pretty long novel when compared to the others.

Still, the atmosphere and plot are amazing in all of the books. Metro 2033 will always be remembered as the classic that started it all, whilst Metro 2034 showed us a look at the post-apocalyptic metro system from a slightly different point of view. Towards the Light has fantastic characters and gets emotions across really well, but I think Piter has the best story with the most unexpected twists and hooking plot of all the books.

I also have to say that the Polish translation of Piter is brilliant.
