bio-engineered weaps? something like the FEV? apparently in the metro, there is almost only alpha-radiation? the smith and wesson model 3 which was supplied to the russian army in 1817? because amoebas are bastards?

Check this one: how about all of the air filters in the world would be expired by more than a few years in 2033. Using expired filters is often suicidal - depending on how old they are. By 2033, none of them would offer any protection whatsoever and only harm the user. Not to mention that gas masks also become useless after a period of time. Of course, you could always argue that people would have made their own equipment in the metro... but, yeah, that's a crappy explanation for obvious reasons. :p

So, guys, seriously - there's no point in squabbling over things like these. After all, Metro is fiction.

If there was nothing to squabble over, the forums would be no fun at all. :p

I voted for the old watch even though it honestly made no sense to me at all.

How about you can buy the digital watch in a shop? You start out with the regular watch and you can trade it in for a better watch at some points in the game or just buy it from a shop.

That's a great idea, though I'm sure someone has mentioned it earlier already. ;)

I voted for Digital Watch. I prefer it to the old watch because, although the old watch was classical, it was extremely hard to read (at least on console and my shitty tv). Some of you might make the argument that digital watches need batteries but what most people don't know is that the batteries in digital watches last a pretty long, up to five years even more if lucky.

This guy is a walking (or posting) advert. Look at him. He barely has any comments, he is called "LED does it", his website (on his profile) is "www.ledmarketing.com" and he tells us to visit it in his posts.

Yeah. I'm under the general consensus that the new watch is definitely easier to read. It was pretty hard to tell how much time you had left. :p The old watch was pretty cool in that it told you the actual time/ whatever you set as the time for the machine you were playing as, though. But that's a pretty minor sacrifice for actually knowing how much air you have.

The Metro: Last Light watch is a real kind of watch, known as a Nixie Watch

It is gravitationally activated so the Nixie Tubes dont burn out.
