No I don't think it is. I have been playing for a while now , but I am not high level, so that may be it. Rift is not as big as the developers wanted it to be in my opinion, but you know it is decent. There are things in the store that you can purchase if you want from what I have seen.
As far as i know, it's not a pay to win game. I've heard about it before but never got around to playing the game. I have a friend who does and he said it's a decent game much like WoW. Maybe one one of these days i will try it out myself.
I don`t really think they have pay to win elements in the game. Most of the things that you can buy from the cash-shop, are cosmetic things only. Or maybe special furniture for your house. But all in all, this game is really fair to players in this regard.
