A friend of mine told me to check out this cool game that he found online. I wasn't that impressed at first but when I actually played I fell in love with the franchise. The videos online don't do the gameplay justice.
My brother and I were following the development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl quite closely and both loved that game when it finally came out in 2007 (after a pretty long time in development). When it was revealed in 2009 that some of the Stalker devs left earlier and started making their own game, I began following its development process too. I was really hyped for it, but I could not afford to buy it at launch and I did not have a good enough PC to play it back then anyway (hence why I got it a good few months after release). From there I got into Glukhovsky's books and later into the Universe of Metro 2033 series.
I went to the store and down toward the dwindled PC game isle of yesteryear. I quickly scanned the shelves, noticing that the only thing left was World of Warcraft and some stupid Nancy Drew detective games. Damn. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a stack, of a game, that I had never seen before. Metro 2033 was its name; so I remembered it and looked up its reviews on the internet. After that, I believe I bought Metro 2033 off of Amazon.
Same here, i couldn't afford it at release despite being very excited for it, so i played it like a year after release. Thumbs up to the poor people! We can't help it, we don't want to take part in being a parasite to others to be wealthy...
I was 10 when I first bought it, right when it came out. I told my grandmother to buy it for me since it has Nationalist Socialists and she said "deal"
Today right now on this forum. It is the first time I am reading about it. But I might not play it because I have now found out from the games that I need to buy it. If it has free trial, I might play it.
