Was curious if anyone else has played with the r_gi option in the user.cfgs. I have been assuming it "global illumination", a feature that is in high-end 3D effect development software, which causes light to mix with other light to effect the overall color like the picture below, but when i take comparision screenshots, i don't notice too much difference in them. I don't notice much difference in DX9 vs. DX11 either.

Also, has anyone played with other settings for a good effect?

I've noticed that it's absent in console version. On, say, 360, you'll notice that bright lights will simply turn your gun's textures into a brighter hue, while on PC, the flicker of a fire will realistically implement itself on those same textures.
