If Advanced Warfare was tweaked in visuals slightly and stripped of the Call of Duty name, then chances are high that people would have liked the game even more. Take out the expectations (and repetition) of a CoD title, and AW seems like a far fresher concept. This is an issue that CoD, Battlefield, and even Halo face today because fans will eventually get tired of a franchise. A franchise name isn't always a good thing down the road, and dropping it could pay some risky dividends.
