i think a area where you can talk about the game when you have finished it. a spoiler ally or something would be great
just a thought, but how bought making it necessary to post an introduction in introductions when people first join before being able to post in other areas?
I just bumped the thread where I've asked Harley about this and gotten no reply, hopefully she'll notice and finally answer. More so, hopefully she'll hand me and/or Aaron some Administrative powers to do all these things by ourself. That's a very good idea. I've recently been thinking "Hmmm, when Last Light comes out there will be someone who immediately completes it and wants to talk about it on the forum. But at the same time, there are other people who'll use a few days to complete it, maybe even someone who doesn't buy it on release but some time later, and still want to post on the forum without being spoiled". I think it would be very difficult to limit the discussions about Last Light on the forum after release. The easiest way out would be to simply let everyone talk about it everywhere, but it'd be a bit sucky for those who hasn't completed it so far. We could announce an important new rule that it is absolutely not allowed to talk about Last Light anywhere except the sub-forums that are dedicated to Last Light, but again, I'm a little skeptical about that. Even though I make that rule, and almost everyone reads it, there will always be someone (often newbies) who'll inevitably not notice the rule or not understand it, and post something about LL in for example General Chat or Video Games. Aaron and I would be on the tip of our toes, ready to delete anything that doesn't belong in those threads, but that's not a guarantee that people who hasn't completed it won't happen to read a spoiler somewhere..
Why not just make a rule that states posting spoilers of Metro: Last Light is only permitted when the spoiler is inserted into spoiler tags AND the user warns others of it before the spoiler tag?
I disagree about that, even though I dislike the creator of the "Horrible Pavel glitch" thread. There are pirates among us here anyway and they are also my friends. If we have to, then we could have a poll on whether the members of the forum want posts regarding piracy to be banned or not.
Pirates could atleast be more tactful than Mr. "Horrible Pavel glitch" and wait til after the release.
I'm all for these changes but Harley seems to be ignoring most pleas for... Anything. And sadly it's up to her if we make any significant changes like title customization and such.
Everyone will share bullets! And Aaron, I completely understand. Kinda sad to see that she doesn't care about our little community.
