Fallout 1 & 2 online! I heard about this a couple years back and finally decided to look into it. You can create your own faction, capture towns, do quest, etc. It would be great if we could all get together someday and play. Here is a link to download: http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/
I'm pretty awful at both of the original Fallout games, so I doubt I'd have much fun with it, but it still looks pretty neat.
It's take a while to get good at it. I do want to create a goup! What do you think we should be called? I think of same names latter.
I don't think I've ever seen you get excited about anything. I feel oddly drawn to this one for some inexplicable reason. Also, obligatory Tunnel Snakes reference. Tried the game. Did some menial tasks. Most of the people running around mostly spoke polish. One guy tricked me into stealing from him, which let him kill me and take my stuff. Some other guy saw and gave me a plasma rifle and leather armor. No idea what to do now, a lot of the quests and dialogue seem pretty buggy. The controls aren't well adapted for real-time combat, there needs to be some kind of A-move function, since manually attacking things constantly in real-time seems pretty annoying.
It's been a while since I played it, but I remember Fallout Tactics doing real-time strategy-based combat really well.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. :/ I felt like it really rewarded you for meticulously planned engagements, and gave you well-implemented and explained tools to find your own path through things. Missions would take an hour or two, but god damn if they weren't satisfying to finish.

Just found this on the Fallout online forum: http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?topic=45.msg24010#msg24010 In order to name our group whatever name we pick, we need to post it on the FO forum and hope that the administrator, Kilgore, will say yes to our name. After that, he/she will then update the list of faction names and it will become available to use in their next update. So we should think of a name now before we miss the next update!
