Uhh... no. If you can't just take a screenshot of a random place in the game to make it look nice, then the game is not ready. We're not talking about a McDonald's hamburger here. What they do is they take the screen at a super high resolution and scale it down to regular high def so that jaggies and such are virtually non-existent. They also place characters and effects in certain poses to get the perfect shot. Ubisoft likes to photoshop their 'screens' to kingdom come and the games looked NOTHING like their pre-release media. (Far Cry 3, Assassins Creed 3) I'm not saying 4A does this, but their screens look really skeptically nice.

I think setting up a screenshot like that for actual marketing is kind of sneaky and misleading, because I want to see what the game is gonna look like when I PLAY it. But..... they do make fucking nice desktop backgrounds.

That's what Shure is saying. 4a isn't faking these shots. so they have to not just time them right but they have to take lots of shots. deep silver then must approve of these shots.

The shots we've seen so far aren't perfect with clipping and strange character animations. I wonder who reviewed those screenshots at THQ because if we can spot the bugs why was it released?

In the UK we have advertisement laws about this practice. For example in make-up, fashion, cosmetic commercials, if the video, billboard picture etc is found to be photoshopped then it is banned if it does not state that it has been done within the commercial.

Video games should have the same law.

This should be the law for every country.

There's no "they won't let him" involved here, unfortunately we're still waiting for some stuff before we can announce anything :).

You guys are all way too impatient about this
There's no one to blame for anything about this, really. Deep Silver couldn't release any news for that time, and Maurice can do nothing about that. Don't Blame Maurice! :c Into the corner, all of you! :p

hmmm....thanks, but no thanks. May 17th is far, far, far away. I've completely lost interest in metro last light.

Deep silver.....Good luck and best wishes forever!

    Really? Sorry Joe.

Edit: Huw answered some questions on NeoGAF, maybe that's what caused my confusion.
