Hi there! I wanted to post this because I am EXTREMELY excited about this movie. It seems to be so well filmed, using live ammo (yes, the one that'll go through skin and bone) and active duty Navy S.E.A.L.'s! But instead of just telling you my point of view, why don't you go look for yourselves? http://www.facebook.com/ActOfValorMovie I say one word, just one word: plasticsAWESOME!
I haven't seen such a disappointing film in a long time! The RPG rocket that although it doesn't detonate, still doesn't kill the soldier.Preposterous! The soldier that wants to save his buddies (how american!) and dives over a grenade, still doesn't disintegrate! Whaaaat?!? The team leader takes a sh*itload of AK shots in his body, like a whole magazine, but is still able to shoot back to the "evil" guy. It's too much for a film claiming to be "realistic"....
I heard that it was pretty bad from people so I didn't watch it. Apparently the plot was pretty bad, but not Fast and the Furious (2-X) bad.
Nah, I actually wasn't dissappointed with it. It was just very bad acting, but I'd expected that. And I also knew that the plot was just an alibi for the action scenes, that, I must say, are top class. Actually the best I've seen, I think. If I should rate it, 3 out of 5 stars.
Yes, and Transformers action was fantastic but I'm more of a good-plot kind of guy, ya know? Good action scenes should be secondary, IMO.
I don't know why but I felt like this movie was a shot at stirring up patriotism within the United States. Almost as if they were trying to say, "Our military is cool, it's just like the video games!" Bare in mind I've never seen it, so this is pure speculation.
The plots of those movies were horrible. I think that this explains it better:
I honestly only watched the movie for the action scenes, the story and acting was horrible (just as I imagined). I'm glad they casted the guy who provided numerous voices for the english dub of Metro 2033.
