Nintendo World Championships 2017 Did Very Well On Disney XD
Wasn’t the Nintendo World Championships 2017 being showed on Disney XD? How did it do ratings wise?
Nintendo has been working hard to expand their brand and showcase what they can do to all the world. And to that end, they worked a deal with Disney to show their tournaments on Disney XD, the most recent of which was the Nintendo World Championships 2017. Which, according to TNL, did really well. In fact, it was the highest watch eSports show on the channel this year. Which included showing EVO 2017 matches and the Splatoon 2 tournament from E3.
In regards to all of eSports shows in 2017, the Nintendo World Championships 2017 did 20th. But, considering that several of the top spots are filled up by CBS’ Candy Crush? That’s still pretty good.
