Is Nintendo Working On Legend Of Zelda Mobile Game?
Nintendo has been trying very hard to get into the mobile industry via its very popular and unique IP’s. First came Miitomo, then Super Mario Run, finally, their most recent (and arguably most popular and profitable), Fire Emblem Heroes. We know that their next title will be from the Animal Crossing franchise, but the question of what comes after that is not answered. Or is it? The Wall Street Journal claim that people who are knowledge about the future of the Nintendo mobile initiative have said that Legend of Zelda is the next mobile title.
This would no doubt be a big thing if pulled off well, as well as being an accurate guess, for the most recent Legend of Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, was a smash hit for the Nintendo Switch, selling millions of copies and being one of the best reviewed games of all time.
The idea of a Legend of Zelda mobile title is for sure intriguing, and as they’ve proved with Fire Emblem Heroes, it is very possible to take a grand scale series and turn it into a mobile title.
The question then becomes, “When will it release?” The Animal Crossing title is set to release later this year, but no definitive window is set. So it’s unclear if the Zelda title could come late this year or early in the next.
