Some new details have surfaced on Cyberpunk 2077, the next game project from CD Projekt RED. Per Gamespot, the game has even more developers working on the title than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was the developer’s huge hit and award-winning game.
The tidbit was revealed in a post on the studio’s forum in a thread where investors are allowed to submit queries. One question was asked how many people were working on the game. A representative of the team responded, “There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month.”
The upcoming game is a sci-fi, cyberpunk game that’s set in a dystopian future. It’s based on the Cyberpunk RPG developed by Mike Pondsmith. Pondsmith is currently collaborating with CD Projekt RED for the upcoming game.
Cyberpunk 2077 does not yet have an official release date coming out. However, previously CD Projekt RED stated that the company was looking for a launch window between 2017-2021 for the game. That means it could be quite a while before the game finally hits.
Meanwhile, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition just launched. It’s an all-in-one version of The Witcher 3, featuring all the expansions, DLC, updates and improvements released over the life of the game. In additon, GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is slated to hit beta next month.
